November 3, 2007 1- 3:00 PM Monthly Meeting Notes
The meeting started with an overview of the October 21 Evening of Peace by Mary Wind. She asked for and received feedback from meeting participants to help us with next year. The common theme of all participant feedback was this year's Evening of Peace was a huge success and simply be continuing to repeat this event we are guaranteed to have a major peace education success each year. One member noted that calling members in advance was a very positive experience and we should remember to do this again for the 2008 awards dinner. The 2008 Evening of Peace is scheduled for September 21, 2008.
We then introduced new people and reviewed the agenda. A video by Fox News available online at http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/ver/247.1/popup/index.php?cl=4831203 with the latest Iran war propaganda was shown. Our membership continues to grow and is now at 1,284 members in the United States. We have our third high school Leaders Club (and we renamed Leaders Club to Peace Clubs). Our latest addition is Burbank High School in Sacramento. Endorsements from students at Burbank and Kennedy High School are online at endorsements. If you click on the endorsement link you can also see new Teach Peace graphics (be sure to scroll down the page).
The next monthly
meeting will be announced. See for more information

If anyone wishes to step back or step forward, please let me know. We are looking for recommendations of new people who are currently not members that should be on our team. Please call me if you have suggestions. Sincerely, Dave Dionisi
