General Petraeus,
replacing
Admiral William Fallon
as the commander of Central
Command, is a "finishing touch" to a
Bush and Cheney initiated attack on
Iran. We have updated the
Showdown with
Iran and encourage everyone to
demand their representatives not allow
another unnecessary war.
The warning from the Joint Chiefs of
Staff Admiral Michael Mullen on April
25th is the Pentagon is planning for
"potential military courses of action."
Secretary of Defense Bob Gates said Iran
"is hell-bent on acquiring nuclear
weapons." As with Iraq, we find the
Joint Chiefs Chairman and Secretary of
Defense conveniently sidestepping the
most important fact, that the country we
are getting ready to attack has no
desire to attack us.
