We reviewed the successful Whole Earth event and that it enabled us to distribute over 1,500 handouts. In addition, a presentation on the main stage enabled Teach Peace to reach many new people.

The group was updated on other publicity that had been arranged to include a request for two radio interviews on 1240 AM. Several attendees noted that they had contacted their personal e-mail lists to help get the word out. Dave updated the group that approximately 50 online tickets had been purchased. Dave said he felt we were guaranteed to have at least 100 people attend and additional publicity efforts are needed to fill the remaining 100 available seats.

The June 8th meeting enables us to launch the match offer by restructuring the agenda to have the final segment a call to join the match offer. Since Dr. Bowman is paid a speaking fee to attend, the ticket sales are intended to cover the costs of the event. By distributing Teach Peace donation envelopes at the event we can increase the match pool from $14,000 to a much higher number. Then the amount of the funds established for the match would help Teach Peace in a much more significant way. Hank started the match idea and he observed that he was very happy that Teach Peace was taking full advantage of the match idea by launching it this way at the Take Back America event.

We discussed the need for volunteers to help at the June 8th event. A mailing will be constructed to invite members to volunteer to assist with setup, registration, seating, and other event related tasks.

The meeting concluded with a reminder that the next monthly meeting is July 7th.
