How To List An Event
Step 1 - Review and ensure alignment with the Teach Peace Foundation guiding principles.
If you answer no to one of the below questions, your event should not be listed on the Teach Peace site.
a) Does your organization have non-violence as a guiding principle?
b) Is your organization non-partisan?
c) Will the event be upbeat, joyful, and focused on educating people?
Step 2 - If all of the above answers are yes, please send an e-mail to contact@teachpeace.com with the following information.
- Event title. - Event sponsor's name. - Event date. - Event time. - Event location. - Contact name. - Contact phone number.
For example: Peace Vigil, Sacramento Rotary Club, March 3, 2008, 1-3 pm at 100 Main Street in Sacramento, CA, Contact Bob Sample at 916-555-1212.
Events will be uploaded within 48 hours. If you do not see your event on the system within 48 hours, please call 530-204-7227. If incomplete submissions are made, we will not post the event (e.g., you forget to add a name for the contact person, etc.). In addition, if there is a question about an event being consistent with the respectful, upbeat, and educational focus of Teach Peace, we will do our best to send a staff member who will determine if subsequent events should be listed. Teach Peace is careful to list only events that are appropriate for people of all ages to attend (e.g., no profanity, etc.). Finally, to prevent confusion with Teach Peace sponsored events, we do not list events that are in the same city and at the same time as a Teach Peace event.
Optional - If you satisfied the above criteria and you want Teach Peace to be a co-sponsor or event supporter, we can promote this event to our members who have elected to receive event notices. To select this option, please call 530-204-7227.
Sincerely, Dave Dionisi, Teach Peace National Awareness
