Our Brand, Logo & Mascot

The Teach Peace brand is careful to represent our vision and guiding principles plus:

  • to work well, we must be transparent and an open peace model (e.g., an open source distributed system)

  • that reinventing the wheel is inefficient and can be reduced by sharing best practices

The logo represents a diversity of people, views, ages, and locations. People are holding hands around the world as the hands of three children are included in the center of the logo. Children are "central" to the teach peace effort because they are often the most open to new ideas and are the key to a more peaceful future.

Christopher, from the Happy Cricket animation, is the Teach Peace mascot to help us connect with children in a way that is educational and joyful. Perhaps you remember the campaign to raise awareness about pollution with the theme "Give a hoot, don't pollute." Other examples of the power of joyful mascots include Nemo from the Finding Nemo animation, MetLife's Snoopy and Smoky The Bear.
