The monthly meeting on Saturday, August 4 started introductions and a review of recent accomplishments (since the last monthly meeting on July 7, 2007). Mary Wind highlighted 20 key accomplishments.

1. New Dream Changer coloring book. Dave Dionisi shared the Dream Changer story and animations with members. The overall response is extremely positive. Dave also updated everyone on the Teaching Peace music CD and how it fits with the Junior Peacemaker program.

18. Designed new lapel pins to reward contributing members.

19. Met with the Davis Peace Coalition to share ideas on July 9th.

 20. Created the Teach Peace Foundation 101 training.

Next on the agenda we discussed the October 21 Evening of Peace dinner. The location is 600 Alhambra Blvd in Sacramento which is the Greek Orthodox Annunciation Hall. The format is similar to last year's dinner in that we will have opening and closing music with the highlight being the award presentations. Mary asked for volunteers to help with dinner tickets and made a list to track ticket numbers. Members helping with tickets were informed to keep track of the ticket number so we will know which tickets are active and inactive the day of the event. Anyone wishing to help with the dinner committee should call Dave at 530-204-7227.

We will take advantage of lessons learned from prior meetings and have an express line for online and advance purchase ticket holders.

Teach Peace high school members receive a free dinner ticket.

A more specific presentation of the full curriculum is scheduled for September 1 from 3:30 to 6:00 pm and on September 11 from 7 to 8:30 pm.
